“Trapped with Shadows,” presents a thought-provoking exploration of identity, presence, and absence. By painting my own human shadows on the wall, I create a hauntingly beautiful interaction where the shadows become the focal point, inviting viewers to engage with the idea of what it means to be “present” without a physical form.

The shadows represent both a connection and a disconnection from reality, allowing the audience to reflect on their own perceptions of self and others. They evoke a sense of interaction and intimacy, as if viewers are engaging with an invisible presence, prompting questions about how we relate to each other in the absence of direct contact.

Through “Trapped with Shadows,” I challenge the viewer to consider the complexities of self-representation and the ways in which our shadows—literal and metaphorical—can shape our understanding of ourselves and our connections with others.
